Santiago del Teide (Tenerife) 4 oct EFE.-
Neighbours in Puerto de Santiago complained that the lights in the football stadium have been left on over night with the cost this supposes for the local council.
The local residents confirmed that this has happened more than ten times due to a lack of coordination over maintenance in the sports pitch.
These residents who work locally in the hotels locally, complained that when they finish work late the lights are on and when they arrive at work early for their shifts the lights are still on.
They hope that the town hall in Santiago del Teide “will sort things out” and this extraordinary cost will not continue to drain the local coffers, “especially now when things are so bad”.
The sports councillor for the Santiago del Teide town hall , Vanessa Sánchez, said that this will be “solved” and that the reason was “the caretaker had been on holiday for a week”.
