Are there any decent bars and restaurants in Playa San Juan, Tenerife?

We are staying at calleo salvaje and our friends are staying at puerto de santiagos and we want to meet half way to have a night out? Playa de san Juan was recommended to us but are there many good bars and restaurants there?

It depends what kind of night you want, there are a lot of Spanish bars and Restaurants there which serve nice food and should suffice although you would struggle to find any "nightlife" as such ie discos etc.

Not the liveliest place either but not bad. Playa del Arena would have the busier bars in general. P.Santiago has a few bars, nothing special, but has some nice restaurants, ( I recommend Casa Pedro on main road between P. Santiago and P.Del Arena.). Highland Paddy bar in Los Gigantes normally has a good atmosphere.
