CD Tenerife vs Leganes

Sunday 6th Nov 2011
Kick off Midday

Armada Sur hope to launch their new mini match day info sheet for the occasion.

Leganes have been struggling despite their billing as being one of the top teams and promotion candidates. Still be a tough match.

1) Live commentary on Oasis FM

2) Brand new Armada Sur free matchday programmed released.

3) Live updates from the Heliodoro twitter account;
http://twitter.com/#!/armadasur

4) Canīt think of a fourth one but it fills up the list nicely.

Received my programme via email today.

Very good!
Better than the old "proper programmes" that we got at the ground.

Best of luck tomorrow!

Hello,

Anyone know if this game will be televised, and thus possibly available as a stream for us unfortunate ones not on the Island able to go the the game?

Cheers,

Knowing how many hours went into El programma I think this is really sad. Can I ask why you think it is better?

This is just an alternative for us. In my view, official publications are always better.

To be honest there is little room for much new information (and too expensive to make any bigger), but I hope it's quite a helpful guide showing who's who and our general progress throughout the season.

Dangit, I can't find a live stream anywhere, if anyone knows of one I would be most grateful. Guess I have to keep watching Real Madrid-Osasuna, at least former CDT striker Nino is playing so some connection there...

Added after 13 minutes:

Hmm, trying the Oasis FM radio for game commentary, but guess I'm too blond to use it proper cause I only get some ****ty 80's AOR music (being a metalhead myself the overkill of keys & lack of guitar is rather annoying )

Can't find any streams either. Booooo!!!

Only other option is bet365 who give text info (corners, yellow cards etc).

Another text option is http://www.clubdeportivotenerife.es/partido_minuto.asp from the official CDT page. Only in Spanish though, and as I don't speak/read it a bit hard to make out what is happening, but aided by a web-translator not a great deal happening for us seemingly.

And as I typed that 1-0 to CDT at the stroke of half time!!

So 1-0 to CDT at half time, goal scored by Perona

Looks like we're going to hold out (couple of mins to go).
Seems a scrappy affair, 2 bookings for CDT and 5 for Leganes.

A wins a win though.

Hell Yeah!!! Final Score 1-0 to Tenerife. Judging by the commentary it wasn't convincing but who cares! 3 points in the bag is all that matters at the end of the day right!? :yum:

Full time 1 - 0. A win is a win and 3 points, well done. Moving over to island tomorrow so hopefully will be at the remainder of the games this season. Well done again.

Post game thoughts. Hopefully the (pre-game) injuries to Kiko Raton & Kitoko aren't too serious. Especially Kitoko is a very important player I feel, great defensive midfielder who always helps out the defenders. Vital in scrappy away games for sure. I thought he was one of our best players last season in the Segunda after he arrived. Unlike Ricardo Leon who was way too casual when we lost possession, Kitoko always hurried back to help & not shy to get stuck in either.

Another clean sheet as well, great to see as a solid defense will be important going forward. Sergio obviously vital in that regard, he has to be the best keeper in this league by some distance, in my opinion he didn't look out of sorts when we were in the La Liga, he could probably still do a job for a mid-to-lower table team there.

Interestingly I felt the game showed how much we need Kiko as there were almost no shots on goal. We didnt seem to be able to get the ball into the goal area and the goal was far away with Perona running.  he is so fast.
Three points are three points and keep us in the top four which is great.
It is always sad to hear fans whistle at their own players and I wouldn't want to be Calderon if we lose at home.

I tell you, the people that could not get a live stream of the match were the lucky ones. Obviously a win is a win but it was a very chaotic game with few chances (the main ones fell to Leganes). They will rise up the table I am sure, they seem a strong team but we missed Kitoko and Kiko today. The midfield could not keep control of the ball and without Kiko up front the long ball into the box was a waste of time.

Plus point was another clean sheet (only one goal conceeded - a penalty, in 400 minutes of football now.

Trying to get a settled team at the moment is proving difficult. Tenerife did not have a proper center forward out there today with Kiko and Rosquette injured. El Presi has to reinforce the team in December with a striker and remember Pablo Sicilia will be back!

Nice touch by The Frente to display a banner during the game dedicated to the people of El Hierro who are coping with the volanic crisis at present. "Animo Bimbanches" (Head Up Bimbaches-Original inhabitantes of El Hierro)

To quote Bill Shankly, it doesn't matter how you play, the result is the only thing that matters.

As long as we keep on winning we have a chance of promotion.

Here are (http://www.soccerway.com/national/spain/segunda-b/2011-2012/group-1/) the latest standings.

Oviedo are on the up after beating Albacete at home. We have a comfortable 6 point gap to the fifth place team.

However, the last two games have been a bit of a shambles. We definitely need more pace in the team and we were getting slaughtered down the left side again.
