Good Afternoon All,
Does anyone know if you can buy halloumi cheese in Tenerife?
Thanks
Claire
Last time I got some, it was in Mercadona

Thank you, we're moving out in July and I can't bear the thought of life without halloumi:lol:
No problem, I'm partial to it myself with bacon wrapped around it!

Never heard of it before so I googled. Sounds lovely. Gonna try some from Mercadona next time I'm in.

I have bought some and it is still in my fridge - not sure what to do with it, I was told it was nice grilled ?
Have had queso blanco grilled with mojo verde that was gorgeous so any tips on what to do with the Halloumi
It goes squeeky after it's cooked and tastes fantastic!!!

Well I’m afraid I’m a veggie so no bacon for me :crying2: the hubbie would definitely go for the bacon option though, thanks for the tip!
Grill or wrap it in bacon and fry it. Fabulous!!!

Nigella slices it up and dry fry’s it in a frying pan, it’s also amazing marinated in honey and whole grain mustard then cooked on the bbq. Or whack it in a baking tray with pre roasted peppers and sausages (veggie for me) but the hubby prefers it with chorizo, pop some garlic and olive oil on roast it and then finish with fresh basil, yummy!! So many options.....

You can have it as a kind of Tapas, or as the Greeks do, as a main meal. Also nice in a warm salad.
