What is the Spanish word for 'Scooting'

My little dog Oscar has been "scooting" for a few days, where they sit on the floor and go round and round, and his bottom is getting sore. I want to go to the vets tomorrow but I cannot find a translation in Spanish only el scooting and all the searchs I have tried just come up with videos of dogs on scooters, just wondered if anyone knew the correct term

Why not just sit down on the floor yourself, and demonstrate pepper. The vet will love you, and you might even get a discount ! ;) :laugh:

Seriously though, try "Una mascota "scooting", o arrastrando el extremo posterior de la alfombra" which is your dog is scooting, or dragging it's backside on the carpet. Should understand that.

Thanks obs, I do normally demonstrate problems I have a vast vocabulary of noises and hand gestures but I have problems and cant get down on the floor so this demonstration is out as i would not get up again
