Thanks Pooh....but I just encountered a problem as I was going to post the thread I prepared for last Thursday, since it was all ready to go with photos etc.

I was stopped with a message saying that the forum currently allows only 4 images to be included in one post. That sort of cancels out the main content of what I do to show weather etc.

I do reduce the screen size and resolution down to very low quality so the pics are not too heavy on the thread and I can keep the number down but it would be a shame to cut it down to just 4 pictures.

Can you change that?

Ummm....yes I guess I do, when number of images also includes the occasional screenshots of the TV weatherman, sun & cloud gifs from the Aemet site or my weather anigifs, sky photos from yesterday, this morning and ten years ago.

I can cut down the number of pics but if you would like to see it as it has been then I would need about 16 - 18 photo slots maximum if that is possible, and that amount would include small clip art gifs. :whistle:

Good Morning!

I don't know when this will be uploaded as not only was our area without electricity all morning, but the forum was also offline.

So now that we have current and my computer is alive again I'll continue to write about the weather for today, Thursday.

It started out with partially blue sky and some large grey clouds, but the sun won over and we had a bright, warm morning with the sun disappearing now and then but we could at last see Teide, even if just for a while, as the clouds came back at 1:00 pm.

The forecast for today is for sun and cloud, 60% chance of a light shower sometime, light winds from the southwest, UV a little lower at 9 and temperatures without change, 19° to 24°C. Strong winds in central peaks.

PS - Added after 5 pm: We've had a little rain during the afternoon.

Last night I posted a weather report from last Thursday and so started this thread but it seems to have disappeared.:confused:

But it's now Sunday and so here we are:

Good Morning....oops it's already afternoon!

Well here we are back again after our little holiday. I also managed to get some tidying up and washing done but it's not good to be too long without the forum is it. I even had to go outside and do some gardening!

Weather in Puerto has been warm, partially overcast but with high humidity, so a bit sticky.

At this point we begin to hear people saying "¡Ay que calor!"....what a heat!....especially during my Pilates class, where our foreheads were shining and our hands sticking to the bars.

This morning the sun is out again where it should be... visible and in a blue sky where there is also scattered cloud.

As I write this at 9:30 am (yes it's Sunday so I'm later) the cloud over Teide is just beginning to lift and I should get a photos soon.

(Later: no - it just got cloudier - so no Teide pic today.)

The humidity is high this morning.

Provincial forecast is for cloudy to very cloudy with a possible scattered light shower in the north; light north winds changing to moderate in the afternoon and strong winds in central peaks.

Forecast for Puerto de la Cruz is for cloudy, no chance of rain, light north winds at 14 km/h, temperatures 19° to 24°C and UV high at 10.

Good Morning! It's Dia de Canarias today - the celebration day of Canary Islands.

Yesterday afternoon it was warm but cloudy with a few dark clouds in the east and south sky.

This morning I was surprised to see it had rained as that wasn't expected.

Another warm day yesterday with clouds, high humidity and a slight drizzle in the morning ending around 1:00 pm.

This morning is overcast but the outlook is bright. At 8:00 am the temperature was already 20°C and the humidity 66%.

The provincial forecast is for cloudy to very cloudy with possible scattered showers in the north, light to moderate winds, occasionally strong in central areas.

Good Morning!

Yesterday was another warm, cloudy day.

This morning has been overcast but it should burn off as the forecast is for sunshine all day.

The Aemet provincial forecast predicts cloudy or cloudy intervals, moderate northeast winds and minimum temperatures rising.

The forecast for Puerto de la Cruz is sun with no clouds, light winds from the north/northeast and a very high UV of 11.

Temperatures the same. The Aemet chart gives temperatures of 16° to 22°C but I think that must be from either the airport or a higher altitude as those temperatures are far too low for the town average.

I think 19° to 24°C is a more accurate estimation as those have been the current temps.

The same sunny conditions are expected for Thursday; Friday will have a few clouds with a very high UV of 12.
