Hello,
we are trying to decide whether to stay here in puerto santiago for the festive season or travel back to Uk, can anyone give information on what that period is like here, or would it be worth our while to travel say to pdla/lc.
Thanks

I would go to pdla/lc its a great time to be there and will be very busy, Around the Safari centre has a magical feel about it over the festive period.LosCris is great on New Years eve, there used to be a 12 piece band playing on the steps of the church in the square and you can watch the firework display from a nice bar or restaurante overlooking Las Vista's beach.:party4::christmascheer::santa::santa::cheer s2::cheers2::fireworks::fireworks::fireworks::hat:

I have spent several New Years eves in Route 66 but this year Old Dogs will be in the Plaza in Los Gigantes so Puerto Santiago will be quiet. The Plaza should be heaving from 9 to midnight with ex-pats and Brit holidaymakers then a Spanish band will take over so although different music the local Canarians will be having a great time.
