This Sundays game starts at 12.

There has been a lot of talk about not winning away or not playing well but with home wins and away draws we should finish the season with over 70 points. This should qualify us for the playoffs. http://img.tapatalk.com/4f9fbea1-3342-99ec.jpg

A game of two halves has never been a far more accurate description. First half in control and obvioulsy great to take a 2-0 lead.

The second half was terrible and our luck held again. Really not sure where the problem is, we made Celta B look like a great side (some of their players did have cracking games though).

We are winning nearly every home game which "I suppose" is the main thing but fans are very annoyed about the relaxation of the players in the 2nd half and the tactics of manager Calderon. I honestly think it is 50/50 if he gets sacked soon. Strange to say that after gaining 12 points from last 18 possible but people are very concerned bordering on angry.

The sooner we get all the main players back playing AND sign a decent forward the better(not that Tacon and Perona are doing bad jobs as such but they can play alongside the new striker)

Marks out of 10
First half = 7/10
Second = -2/10 :mad:

Yes, very much a game of two halves. Celta started the game brightly, it took CDT 10 mins to find the rhythm, but after this very much in control of the first half & 2 nicely taken goals with Celta not threatening much aside from great individual skill by their number 10 playmaker.

You could sense Celta were up for it second half, they came on a few mins early & their physio/coach had them all do some warm up exercises before the start of the second & they were all over CDT from that point onwards. They also swapped strikers at HT & the new guy number 16 was much much better than the previous guy & finished nicely when he found space between our central defenders Medina&Ayoze.

At this point it looked like Celta was gonna get an equalizer as CDT struggled mightily & gave possession away way too easy for my liking. Not sure how we managed not to concede in the end, last 15 mins were horrible to watch from the stands, extremely nervous going by players & fans alike. Saved by the bar & Sergio we managed to get the win, I think the crowd was booing the ref for too much extra time & not necessarily the team at the end there (at least I hope so). Not a great performance bar spells in the first half but great to score a win & wonderful to take in my first game of the season live in person.

Btw, if CDT decide to give Calderon the boot I would nominate whoever is coaching CD Marino for the job. Had the pleasure of watching the local derby CD Marino vs UD Las Zocas in the Tercera division last Friday in the stadium in Playa del Las Americas & I was extremely impressed by CD Marino. They played wonderful attacking football with great individual skills attacking-wise, great tactics allround (well until CD Marino's goalie decided to punch a Las Zocas player & got deservedly the red card...).

Somewhat shaky in defense but otherwise I really think they could give current CDT a run for they money, CD Marino were that good. Especially the striker Noah was great, I was thinking all night he could surely do a job for CDT, wonderful left foot, decent in the air, pace maybe lets him down at times, scored 2 nice goal, one a fantastic curling free kick in the top corner. Great game, only disappointing aspect was that former CDT player & fan favorite Cristo Marrero didn't come on for Las Zocas even though they were one man up & chasing the game, very strange unless he wasn't fully fit. All dressed up but he didn't even warm up at the end.

I warmly recommend anyone staying here in the south of the island to take in a CD Marino game, to my naked eye the standard was on par with today's Segunda B game & the stadium is quite nice with a great Cantina where you can drink beer during the game!

I am not sure I agree with Calderon's plan put the points we have are what we need to make the playoffs. Everyone says 2b is hard and after today that seems clear.

Lugo finally lost to Castilla so we need to see what we can do against them next week.
Regional football FinnCris is great.

Next week against Lugo would be a good place to start sorting out our poor away form.

Cor. That was close judging by the highlights! 2nd half could easily have been a draw. Note to team : Must not relax ;)
