Match live on TV Canaria and Live in The Royal Oak at 11am.

Big test for the blanquiazules. Lets see what they are made of. Medina out in the center of the defence is a major blow.

Real Madrid Castilla have a tricky game away to Atletico B (derby ofcourse) so IF we could snatch a win it would be amazing(and we would go top for the first time in the season)

Starting Line up CD Tenerife in a 4-2-3-1 formation left to right:

Sergio Aragoneses; Meji - Ayoze - Kitoko - Cristobal; Marcos - Zazo; Victor Bravo - Ferran Tacon - Chechu; Perona.

So a make shift back line with Kitoko (normally defensive midfielder) filling in for the suspended (?) Medina & Tarantino on the bench (not fit enough?)

Added after 46 minutes:

Half time CD Lugo-CD Tenerife 1-1

1st 20 mins very scrappy with a lot of fouls in the midfield by both teams, CDT had one good chance early, Chechu somehow got through on the right but the final ball was very poor & never reached Perona (?) who prob would have scored from around the penalty spot had the ball come through to him.

Midway through 1st half CD Lugo started to get a bit of possession and around the 25 min mark scored after left back Meji/Jonay (whatever his name is) was out of position & a nice ball played behind the defense on the left side. Decent cross but both Kitoko and Cristobal were ball watching so the Lugo player had an easy header to score. Poorly defended allround really.

CDT really sloppy in possession & only poor finishing & cross bar saving us from going further down. Then around the 40 min mark, against the run of play it has to be said, Perona scoring after great work by Victor Bravo on the right (aided by a deflection). Lugo could have gone back ahead soon after but thankfully didn’t score.

We were lucky not to have Perona sent off in the last minute.

Full Time CD Lugo-CD Tenerife 1-1

Jupp, really lucky to hold on to the draw in the end, CD Lugo with a couple of decent chances to steal it. Happy with the point, would have taken it before the game & after watching it very very happy not to lose.

Added after 4 minutes:

1st 15 mins of the second half all Lugo, finding a lot of joy from our left side, Meji/Jonay really poor (as he was last game too actually). Then some nice dribbling by V Bravo leading to a great chance for goal but tame shot by Ferran Tacon (?) easily saved. Very scrappy after this, but Lugo shading it & nearly scoring in the 82nd min & again at the end.

Very competitive game between two (mostly) short passing teams, a lot of clashes & fouls in midfield. Not surprising given their position in the table that CD Lugo are a very good side. Both teams attacking mostly from the right hand side, CDT more by chance than design as left sided V Bravo mostly involved for CDT. Although towards the end CD Lugo started to attack from the left as well with Cristobal left to defend on his own a bit after Chechu came off.

CDT really architects of our own destruction defensively giving the ball away way too easily. Trying to play out of defense every time but more often than not losing it straight back. Could do with some old fashioned no nonsense defending at times.

GGgrrrrrrr! Real madrid B scored in the last few minutes to win YET again 0-1 and they were down to 10 men in their local derby against Atletico b. No stopping them. To add to everything Real Oviedo closing in to the pplay off zone have just won their game scoring in the 93rd minute against the whipping boys, last placed Montaņeros!!

We are adding points to oyr total if we can add 4 points every 15 days this will get us to the playoffs.
The second half was a little shaky but they looked better when Kiko came on. We were a defender down, hopefully Sergio Rodriguez will be back soon
