Someone out at Our Club too
Admin, possibly linked with E.Mail leaks earlier on..

Who would be a Manager.?

imablue
30-11-2011, 20:47
Yep......
Ian Ross has left Everton just 10 days after the e-mailgate row sparked an internal club investigation. Club officials insist the Director of Communications has not been sacked!

Everton mounted an internal investigation 10 days ago after private e-mails from Ross about the club's Chief Executive, Bobby Elstone, were published on the internet. The correspondence, purporting to be from Ross, was highly critical of leadership within the club.

Ross, who had been a media officer at Everton for 11 years after a highly respected career in journalism, had been expected to switch to a different department inside Goodison.

He has also had a good few run-ins with Evertonians in the past! However it was confirmed this morning that he had now left the club.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT - HARRY REDKNAPP
Posted 14 June 2012 03:37am

The Club can today announce that Harry Redknapp will be leaving his post as manager.
Chairman Daniel Levy commented, "This is not a decision the Board and I have taken lightly. Harry arrived at the Club at a time when his experience and approach was exactly what was needed. This decision in no way detracts from the excellent work Harry has done during his time with the Club and I should like to thank him for his achievements and contribution. Harry will always be welcome at the Lane."

Harry said, "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Spurs and am proud of my achievements. I have had a fantastic four years with the Club, at times the football has been breathtaking. I am sad to be leaving but wish to thank the players, staff and fans for their terrific support during my time there."

it appears it is definatley true, from spurs official website.
i am gobsmacked, maddness.

personally and i,d say (if Moyesie does go)that a straight swap and Arry coming to Everton ..could be a possibilty ..he has done a great job at Spurs and also at Portsmouth before ... i,d also say that if Everton allow certain players to leave or give no assurance to Moyesie one way or another about the immediate future of Our Club that could be the deciding factor.....

I just saw this on the forum, and thought it must be a wind up, I had to go onto the BBC Sport site to check it . Apart from the salary what's the point of working for Abramovich, because he doesn't give anyone any chance to build anything. What a short sighted ****!

Don't suppose Di Matteo will be too worried having only worked less than 6 months of a 2 year contract. He doesn't make the top 10 in terms of wealth but he'll be OK rest assured.

Here's the Top 10

The Sunday Times Rich List 2012 was compiled by Philip Beresford, the leading authority on British wealth. The list is based on identifiable wealth, land, property, other assets such as art and racehorses, or significant shares in publicly quoted companies, and does not include the cash in their bank accounts, meaning the true level of their wealth could be even higher.
#1. Sir Alex Ferguson

Appropriate sentiment for the situation now at Cardiff. Blaming Mackay for overspending by £15m in the transfer market - it's not like he borrowed the company credit card and went on an unauthorised spending spree.

What's the alternative? Keep changing the team you support?

I'd sooner support my local team allbeit with a number of foreigners in it, than be like some fans of certain club (ahem, Man Utd) and have no connection to them and only like them because of past success. That seems more pointless to me, but each to his/her own.

Whilst I agree, in general, with the sentiments expressed viz a viz club owners the problem mainly arises because some Englishman thought that he knew the rights and wrongs of running a football club in the EPL based on his previous experience of being a publican, or the likes, and finds himself desperately in the shoite and to make sure his own personal possessions are not devoured by a bank, he sells out to a foreign individual who knows he haw not only of football but the UK in general and the team"s supporters in fact. The only people who seem to do well from these transactions are the CEO,s, Administrators and Lawyers oh, and the managers come out of it with a cool couple of a million quid on termination of their contracts. So, don,t lose too much sleep for the likes of Malky 'cause he,s just joined the happy band of EPL managers who go onto the rotating list of sacked but suitably compensated Aristocracy of EPL managers. The only losers are you, the supporter who has lost financially.

Do the Hierarchy think different apparently so ...
Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood launched into a vicious rant at the club's supporters after yesterday's victory over Aston Villa, which is likely to be his final game in charge of the club.

Sherwood, who replaced Andre Villas-Boas as Spurs boss midway through the season, said the fans' expectations are too high and claimed the club don't belong in the Champions League at present.

Although Tottenham spent an reported £100m last summer, Sherwood said the fans "shouldn't have expected" a return to Europe's elite competition.
Lets face it the board know nothing, sacking a manager half way through the season and now this .....sacking at the end of a season when they let this happen....
To remove a match-winner like Gareth Bale out of that squad ..WTF do they expect .....
Such is Football .......

Dusting off this thread as it's seen so little activity of late! How much longer can the Premier League go without sacking a manager?

Some have come close so far but you have to go back to the 95-6 season to find a time where they had played more matches before the first casualty fell and that was on 2nd January when Bolton parted company with Roy McFarland. They were bottom at the time and were still there in May so that didn't work out so well for them.

The longest wait in Premier League history for the first sacking was in 92-3 (it's inaugural season) when Chelsea got rid of Ian Porterfield on 15th February.

Who's favourite for the chop first? Alan Irvine @ West Brom? Nigel Pearson @ Leicester? Alan Pardew @ Newcastle:pray: or...

Tim Sherwood has just been named as the new Villa managerok not a bad choice, BUT the success he had at tottenham was due to the quality of the players he had, and i wouldn't have given him a 3 year deal either??? i would have made him intermediate manager until the end of the season, to see if he could keep them up, unless they expect to go down, and they are looking to the future???, he has a great record with youth players coming through the ranks, so is this another reason for his employment?, villa are not about to spend on big transfers and are instead going to bring their own youth through?,it's a pity they don't have a recall clause on bent, he is scoring for fun at the moment for darby, very short sighted by the club:doh:

Exactly.. foreign investors.. that haven,t got a pot of glue about football or supporters of the said club and their passions .
Just the big Dollar is all they are concerned with .

But in fairness most managers & players are money grabbers who normally care very little about the club either its all about the money with most of them

Who else is going to buy football clubs apart from the wealthy? Nearly 100% of the time it's going to be someone not associated with the club unless you get a consortium of fans and if you compare they way the Leicester owners have acted to, say, Vincent Tan at Cardiff City or Assem Allam at Hull 'Tigers' I think Leicester have got one of the better ones. You don't get many Simon Jordans.

Does the sacking go down as a late one for 14/15 or the first of 15/16? Is there an official date when the season changes? :)

Why support a Team full of Foreigners on high wages, winning very little, and call it Your LOCAL Team?

As long as Supporters pay, who can blame anyone for going to the highest Bidder with
maybe chance of a Medal or two for the long Years after Your career has finished.?

A late one, I think he was luck to keep his job after all that went on. Not saying he is not a good a manager but not sure about his overall performance.

LVG must not be sacked. He is an excellent manager with great experience & just needs lots more time to get his 300 million pounds team good enough to beat a second tier outfit at home.

Only someone with his vast football knowledge would continually use the subtle ploy of Hoof It Up To Mop Head.

Yet another great result for the master technician LVG. And again a smack in the face for those wanting him sacked. These people do not understand football.

What is all this fuss about goals ? Clean sheets & underwear are all that matter.

I get sick of people saying United could not score in a brothel & that LVG thinks tactics are a type of mint.

He must certainly be in line for manager of the month for October.

Put simply this man must NOT be sacked.

Another masterclass from LVG. Many people were fooled into thinking his once moderately successful football club wanted to win last night & qualify for the next stage of the Champions league - sooo wrong.
He knows that Hoof it up to mop head will not work against the really good big clubs but in the Thursday night losers league it may be OK & give him some time to spend another 300 million quid. This boy is no fool.

LVG must not be sacked. He gives it 110% and is apparently working harder than 2 men, Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy.

Remember now, LVG must not be sacked, unless Brenda Rogers wants the job.

Not long got home and did hear about Gary Monk being sacked...take it Brenda will be back in full time employment come the weekend:whistle:
Just read a few notes about Swansea /players / chairman /etc.
It only takes 2 or 3 of the players to have disagreements with the style of play the manager wants them to play and that starts the rot.
Apparently Shellsuit has had words...now i know he did play for Liverpool but i thought he was quite a fairly decent player with Swansea but seems to have gone way off the boil recently...
If he is the turncoat in the dressing room ,i would summise that is where the discontent has come from ...?

Ricman

Phew what a relief. For a couple of days LVG was bookies favourite to be sacked but following Chelskis result last night JM is now odds on to get the push at 10/11. The man who must not be sacked has drifted to 6/4 in the market.

Dont rule out Klipperty either after the wild celebrations when managing a lucky draw against the Baggies. If they beat Watford it is open top bus time down Scotty road im told. Not sure FSG are best pleased.

Joking apart, who would have thought in July that JM & LVG would be first & second favourites to get the Alan Sugar in December ?
