Jupp, yes!!!, 2-0 at half time. Goals scored by Kiko Raton from a corner by Victor Bravo in the 33rd minute & Perona from a Victor Bravo free kick in the 45th minute after the keeper failed to deal with a fairly routine catch.

Yeah, 2-2 at full time, what a disastrous result this is in light of recent games & especially leading 2-0 at the break at home…

Added after 5 minutes:

Well well well what to make of this game, first half was all CDT, visitors Marino didn’t even have a single shot on goal all half. At half time with 2-0 & CDT in (seemingly) total control of the game I thought the game was surely over. But much like the game vs Celta B a few weeks back a completely different visiting side came out for the second half & even though CDT started the first few mins brightly the visitors scored early & could have been level moments later bar for some desperate CDT defending…. Our left side exposed both times, Sergio who played well first half especially offensively really struggling.

And then disaster striking around the 80 min mark, visitors equalizing just when I was starting to hope we could hold on til the end like vs Celta, but not this time. Desperately chasing the winning goal we had a decent penalty shout in the 85th minute, could have scored seconds earlier as well.

i agree !!! right up to the end what a horrible ending it look like the ref wants marino to win. three in my book aless 3 penetines for tenerife, 5 or 6 ball out of ball (fuera juego) the goalie for marino caugth the ball out and quickly went back in. the side ref didnīt even know how to do his job. man!! put me in a side ref shirt any day i do better then what i saw. at the end i really thought there might be a riot. but man like i said what a hobbile game at the end. i sure hope that donīt happen again. i think the tenerife coach should report this to fifa that what i will do...

First of all in 20 odd years of watching football I have never seen such a blatant penalty not awarded in favour of Tenerife in the (1.15m of video). How can it not be a penalty when Victor Bravo was hacked from behind just as he was about to shoot?
Secondly Calderon has made his bed and although he may slam the league table in peoples face (we have now jumped to third position after today) it simply is not good enough. It will be a big suprise if he is not sacked in next few days. The fans snapped in the closing minutes and for the first time called for the managers head.

It looked so good at 2-0 at half-time. Even though we had not been breathtaking the last 20 mins of the first half had been alot better, with the goals helping ofcourse.

The second half when you expected/hoped that they would go on to smash their rivals they couldīnt OR were under strict instructions by the boss to hold back. Not sure.

Anyway, on the positive side; ha ha if there is one....Well done to everyone today in Armada Sur for collecting toys & food for the childrens Xmas charity fund, also the money raised on the bus through the golden goal competition.
Despite everything we are in a good position in the table for the new manager who surely is on his way. Great to see so many Armada keen to go on the trip to Vecindario as well as I collected many deposits. Vamos! Venga!

I'm very torn on the issue of replacing the current coach Calderon. As we all know all too well that doesn't necessarily help (CDT with 4 or was it even 5 different coaches last season, still relegated), and who knows if a better (on paper) coach is even available right know?

Granted, if a change is to be made it needs to be done now when the new coach can bring in a few new own players during the transfer window & have time to get his ideas across during the winter break. But still, not sure I'd pull the trigger myself. The first half today was quite good & reports from the last home game suggested it was one of the better performances of the season. So seemingly an upwards trend although away from home it's been pretty bleak as of late. And hopefully Pablo Sicilia is on the way back soon, he will bring much needed leadership & steel to the defense plus a genuine goal scoring threat at corners.

A delicate issue for sure with the next 5 or so games absolutely crucial for the promotion push. If they decide to axe Calderon I really hope they at least take a look at the guy who is coach for local CD Marino. Marino are going strong in the Tercera & the one game (granted not much of a sample) I saw was a fantastic brand of attacking football. He could bring with him the attacking pair of Noah & Balduino, they have 14 goals each from 19 games (dunno who scored in Marino's win today). Surely one or both could do a job one division higher up? Especially Noah really impressed me, wonderful left foot, looked like a natural goal scorer which we seemingly are missing.

I agree with most of your post Finnkris but not the CD Marino/Noah part. No chance would Noah make the grade, he is 32 yrs old and never ever been higher than 3rd division (except for one season in 2nd b with San Isidro). As for the manager he is just 36 and has no experience, it would be a risk too far at this stage. Although having said that perhaps we do need to go down the local manager route and not always look to the mainland. Why have the Canarians/the Club got such an inferiority complex when there is so much talent here on the Island?? That goes for manager, players and Sports director. It is soooo annoying to see an ex-player and CDT legend (and self-confessed CD Tenerife fanatic) Pier now in charge of Atletico Achinet, a club funded by Atletico Madrid in the South of Tenerife. What is that all about?

Well, it seems like Calderon is safe for now(?) (at least I haven't seen/read anything to the contrary) so probably a moot point discussing replacements. But you make a very good point in that the CD Marino coach is most likely too inexperienced in this case. I suppose a "been there done that, have the promotion titles to show"-type dude would be the only sensible avenue to explore.

I do have to disagree with you about Noah though, yes he is 32 & haven't played higher up (& prob for a reason as surely everyone is scouted these days), but as a short term (rest of season) impact solution ("super-sub") I would most definitely have a close look at him. As of now he has score 16 goals already, Marino has played 20 games, so even if he would have started in all those 20 it is a very very impressive strike rate. Since he is a native he would have no problems adapting immediately, and as he is a very complete/allround type striker (decent in the air, good with his feet, left footed & free kick specialist) I feel he would complement the squad nicely. We are not exactly blessed with free scoring strikers at the moment so anyone who knows how to find the back of the net on a regular basis would be a most welcomed addition I feel.

Any names floating about lately for possible recruits in January? I suppose it is unrealistic to even dream about guys like Alejandro Alfaro. He seems to be stuck on the Mallorca bench but surely dropping down 2 divisions is too much to ask? Loved him as a player & his partnership with Nino was a joy to watch & extremely productive for us of course. Speaking of Nino, although he hasn't exactly set Osasuna on fire in terms of goals scored, he has played fairly regularly so I guess he is happy right where he is.
