Probably this is common knowledge in here, but just in case someone haven't found out, I can highly recommend a voip telephone setup.
I have a sip account with sipgate.co.uk and also with a danish provider, so now I can make calls to, and receive calls from these countries at normal landline tariffs. And the quality is just brilliant!
Only thing needed is an ADSL connection and a small adapter (for example Linksys PAP2(T). The latter costs only around 40£
When I go home to Denmark I simply unplug this little adapter and plugs it into my router at home (takes less than 30 sec's) and presto things works identical at home. When I visit my friend in Australia I plug it in his router, and he has a spare DECT-phone I can use to connect. Same thing in 30 sec's from Australia.
Forget about call-back and crap like that. No more echoes, brilliant call quality and you can call (and be called to) almost for free
Them we just need ot get some decent ADSL prices down here.
