Not long till the start of the season. All we need now is a few quality signings! Not going to hold my breath!
Here is the new kit as modelled by Olsson, Nzonzi and Hoillett! Not sure about the Venky badge but am told that it's only for the Indian tour!

So how about a little praise for Steve Kean a man under EXTREME pressure what a great result yesterday playing with 10 men for most the match. Maybe time to get behind the team and try help them stay in the Premier league, I think he is doing his best with no help from the board.rolleyes2:

I also think Steve Kean comes across very well in interviews and the fans need to get off his back, the players all seem to be pulling their tripe out for him, I wish you luck this season but not in your next game against the mighty Toffee's :D

really hope blackburn stay up,if only the blackburn fans knew the full story behind the scenes at ewood park, players not being played because it triggers clauses in contracts and would cost loads money to the club, players being forced to leave because if they go down the club would have to give them new contracts etc this is only some of the goings on and it comes from a very reliable source who works for one of the soon to be ex players, time the fans knew the full story from the club instead of paying there hard earned cash to keep the club afloat (and im not even a blackburn fan)

You are correct on all counts! It's time Venky either supported the club, manager and players or sold up!

We have had 15 months of their lies and deceit! Bringing in Anderson and SEM agency!

It's got that bad that even the local telegraph have been told to take off any supporters comments from their website!

AJ the protests aren't solely about Steve Kean but is mostly aimed at the owners! They know nothing about football and should have stuck to their first love cricket!

I won't be buying another season ticket as long as they own the club! My hard earned money isn't going to India!

Al don't park on the Aldi/McDonalds car park unless you want a parking ticket. As you come off motorway and turn right there is a pub on the left called the Golden Cup, think they charge a fiver, it's a 5-10 min walk down to Ewood.

Doubt you'll be able to park on streets around Ewood as they are now parking permits for residents!

Ah well a good day was had by all 3-1 to the Blues on a boiling hot day in Lancs, Mirallas and Jelavic 2, We ended up parking on Jack Walker way at the side of the Fernhurst! Blackburn opened the top tier of the Darwen end stand as the lower tier was sold out, its a great view! Pitch looked magnificent, was shocked when the Rovers came out in Red with a white vertical stripe! It seemed like a home game with 7000 Scousers and only 2500 home fans ! The Golden Cup was full outside with everyone enjoying a few beers! Hope Blackburn get back to the Prem soon and good luck in the seasons opener at Derby County!!! As you can tell i have a soft spot for t'Rovers! :D

Watched the Match courtesy of Everton TV and Everton fans were a credit to the t theyClub with how many went to the game, Blackburn fans should be ashamed of themselves obviously a lot were only there for the glory years, new Manager and a great club like Everton and they couldn't be bothered going. It was really good coverage and a word of praise for the two commentators two of the best I have heard for a long time.Good luck to Everton for the coming season.Glad you enjoyed your day AJ. We watched Rovers then went to Scampi's for Fish and Chips just like being at home.

Yeh it was a really good stream and they had 5 Links to it, was amazed when I saw it was on Internet was supposed to be going out as it wasn't listed as being on Net, got ready to go and thought I would just check again and was amazed when I saw it on Firstrow Sports, plans were changed pretty quick.Made me quite homesick. Was surprised Rovers played in away kit.Pity the owners of Rovers couldn't stay to watch the full match, they left after 65 mins.

Well after 2 seasons I have finally been and renewed mine and hubby's season tickets!
Haven't been happy with things at Ewood since Kean/Venkys came to our club!

What another fab game at Ewood yesterday against our local rivals Bolton Wanderers. The atmosphere was good.
Every single player of ours should have got MoM.
We have scored 9 goals in 2 games in a week. I just hope we can hold onto Jordan 'he scores when he wants' Rhodes. 4 goals in 2 games.
A big thank you to Team GB for giving us another fab Sat.

What a great night last night down at Ewood. The club had really put a lot of effort into the before game activities, especially for the youngsters, giving out posters and inflatable zebras. The premier league cup was in the club shop so that people could see and have photos taken with it.
There's also a new fan zone area.
Atmosphere was pretty good too. 1-1 draw at home was a fair result.
So looking forward to season.
Tuesday night we play Scunthorpe in the cup at Ewood.

2 years ago today Jordan Rhodes signed for our club, what a signing he has been and a lot of clubs would like him. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/08/30/7e39d3ea1013860c2128d8e79313cf23.jpg

We weren't at our best yesterday, first half very poor.

He is linked with nearly every club in prem and championship. Had a real tussle to keep him last transfer window, Bruce wouldn't take no for an answer.
TBH though don't really care if none of other clubs want him, I'd rather he stayed and partnered Gestede. He's a very likeable lad and not one for being in the limelight.

My friend Jack Pratt played in goal for the Rovers over 60 years ago I think he played three times for the first team.
His wife died two weeks ago aged 97 he is now in a nursing home in Lancs. He is 98 and I would like a photo of him with the team he played with.
I am sure he is the oldest person still alive who has played with the Rovers, hopefully he will hit the 100.It would be great if we could find a photo of him from

No, I don't think we've got a chance tbh. It was only 3 or 4 weeks ago that we were just 3 points above the relegation zone so any finish in the top half would be classed as a good finish imo. We've got some good players now in Watt, Vetokele, Bulot and keeper Henderson although some are just on contracts until the end of the season so I hope our Belgian master digs deep and offers them enough to sign for longer. Sadly it looks like Bulot will be going back to his parent club at the end of the season so we'll need another decent penalty taker (6/6 for him so far).

How about Rovers, do you think/hope they will make the play offs? If they were promoted could they maintain a position in the top division or would it be one of those 'enjoy the moment' seasons as you repeat what the likes of Leicester and QPR have achieved? Personally I'd take winning in the Championship over having a Leicester season in the Prem.

I think we've passed the point of getting into play offs.
Same as you I'd rather us have a good run in the championship. Don't want us to be another Burnley or QPR. I don't think we are quite good enough for the EPL.

Definitely passed that point last night. We weren't hungry enough to want it.
At least we'll get to play Burnley next season and maybe Preston who are flying high at mo.

Bowyer sacked according to the Sun Newspaper.

GARY BOWYER has become the first managerial casualty of the season after he was axed as manager of Blackburn.

The Ewood Park side lost 1- 0 at Brighton on Saturday to plunge into the bottom three of the Championship.

Rovers have taken only two points from their first four games and were also dumped out of the Capital One Cup by League One Shrewsbury.

Bowyer took over two years ago after acting as caretaker manager.

The 44-year-old has had to work under a crippling transfer embargo with the club £80million in debt and this summer lost star men Rudy Gestede, Josh King and Tom Cairney.

The club’s financial problems mean he has not been able to bring in any replacements.

But Rovers owners the Venky’s are infamous for a revolving door policy on managers.

I personally don't think he fits into the way Strachan's sets up Scotland he is keen on centre forward that can hold the ball up and bring midfield into play and he clearly does not think that JR is the man for the job, Scotland do not create a lot of chances in games . Now Grant Hanley he is a decent player but always seems have one or two very bad moments during a game but I do rate him if he could cut out the lapses he would be a really top class defender

Yes I think you're right there AJ. JR doesn't hold the ball up, more of a poacher.
Now Grant he can be very frustrating at times, he does have lapses in a game and at times they have cost us.
For Blackburn I prefer Duffy & Killgallon at the back.

I'm glad really that he hasn't played because there's always the chance he could get injured, like Aguero out for up to 8 weeks.

I too am glad to see both Ireland & Nothern Ireland doing well and would have to say that Scotland have made huge progress under Strachan from where we were, it was only the very very poor game against Georgia that costs us. I along with most of The Tartan Army hope Strachan stays he has done a great job.Hopefully Rhodes gets his chance with a much bigger team in the January window to help him relize the potential you think he has, but he seems to have been stuck at that level of football for a quite a while now there must be a reason for that overpriced / not good enough ???????????.

I'll take the draw and point. Wish we'd stop letting in a goal on the stroke of half-time though! At least this time it was only Blackburn's first (and only) one, unlike last week when it was Hull's 4th!

But to let Jordan plenty of potential Rhodes score against you must have been disapointing:lol:

You've played us on our worse run of form since GB left.

Never AJ. Wasn't a very good game yesterday, we seem to be going backwards since PL took over.
Got quite a few games in next 6 weeks.

Haha as if. That's what you get when you play a reserve side. City got spanked too.
