Help Please.

Iv'e tried a couple of times to post a video via you tube on various music threads.

I copy, then paste it into the add video box, but when i view the relevant thread it dosen't show. So i try again & get a message saying that iv'e duplicated the post ???

But it's not there.

What am i doing wrong? or are the gremlins at work again!! ?? ??????

Sometimes the system auto-moderates posts containing links, embedded video, etc.
Then a Mod has to check and approve the post manually before it shows.
So if the post doesn't show immediately, just give it some time and a mod will approve it.
It's part of the anti-spam functions, but I'm not sure what triggers it in your case.

Ah thanks Pooh,
I like the way you say 'i'm not sure what triggers it in your case'!

It's happened to me before & i don't know why either, but i'll leave it in your capable hands

All the spam filter sees is a link from a new account and automatically moderates it.

That has been one of our teething problems because as far as the system is concerned, everyone was new last week.

Mods check the filter regularly and immediately approve obvious non spam posts.

Once we are all old hands, once again, the spam filter will not be so obvious.

Well i'm certainly not a spammer, wouldn't know how to!
The only spam that i know, comes out of a tin & gets put on a sarnie:eyebrows:

Had no problem on the old forum that is now lost in cyberspace.
Having said that, i know there's lots of glitches for you guys to work on.

BTW you're all doing a great job :hat::hat:
