Hi does anyone know if you can buy Mulled wine in Tenerife and if so where from please. Many thanks
it's really easy to make from scratch, you can find lots of recipes on Google. :cheers2:
Lidl have it, it's called Gluhwein in German on the bottle

Lidl sell Glühwein but I gather it's not a local thing at all. I saw some Glühwein when I was here in the UK and also when I was at the (rather expensive!) Manchester Christmas Market.
You're probably far too late for asking now but if you'd have asked, say, a montb or two earlier might the local wineries been of help?
here's a recipe

Here is a simple but very nice recipe for mulled wine
1 litre red wine
250 gms brown sugar
1/2 small jar honey
2 sticks cinnamon
1/4 freshly grated nutmeg or flat teaspoon
rind and juice of 1 fresh orange
4 teabags
mix all ingredients into a saucepan and heat gently until the mix is simmering stirring occasionally.
continue to heat for a further 5 minutes.
allow to cool and strain well.
bottle and store in a fridge for upto 5 days. reheat gently when required
luuuuvvverrrly!!!
You can buy the spices in what looks like teabags from the British warehouse in Buzanada. Just add to a cheap bottle of plonk with sugar to taste and you have a very passable mulled wine. Nice with a couple of Spekulatius.

My secret ingredient is Vimto ! It tastes so much nicer than just sugar. It is so much more drinkable than my previous efforts.Needs about 1/3 of a bottle to a litre of wine.
