I've just gut back after 4 days away. Rained (a lot Thu night , Friday morning) then some big showers Friday day and Saturday am but after that its been dry. It was also EXTREMELY windy around Puerto Colon/LC area especially mid/late afternoon but wasn't due to last. Even saw a rainbow yesterday which lasted about an hour. Enjoy your break. We're back December.

Changed flight dates for Jan and only cost £37 so pleased there too.

I leave at the end of the month for Tenerife and quite frankly am more than a bit concerned as they've said that the UK is now on a severe alert for attacks. You just don't know where they will attack next. We were in Edinburgh yesterday and I must admit we were a bit wary, but what can you do, stay at home? It's just too scary!

We had 2 days of Calima with v strong winds followed by a bit of rain on Sunday morning but since then it has been sunny and v warm. Looks to be settled for the next week at least hopefully. That hotel in San Blas looks lovely. We were originally looking at the resedential properties in San Blas Residencia but then we found Playa de San Juan. We emigrated to PSJ on Nov 2nd after retiring early: the morning rain I mentioned has been the only rain where we are for 2 months. Hope you have a great holiday when you get here.

Surprisingly March from Manchester- Tenerife is very reasonable ( £250 each daytime both ways ) and for September we decided on Villa Cortes has a package when you consider costs of flights at that time of year. 2 weeks cost me £2200 for the two of us B&B which considering is ranked No2 is pretty good. We've done SC and stayed at the Med Palace ( ***** hole sadly ) just though Europe Villa Cortes would be a little special for a change. Yes we could go Long Haul for a similar amount when you take into consideration spending money, but I can't be bothered with Long Haul anymore. Tenerife is my limit now

I booked our (two of us) flights in October of this year for 27th Sept - 25th Oct 2016 from Prestwick.....£573 return, with luggage and extra legroom....that's about £130 more than I've ever paid before. It's frightening the way the prices have risen.

I've just looked and the cost for this coming April 2016 return booked in September 2015 cost £448 inc. luggage and extra legroom.

I booked our (two of us) flights in October of this year for 27th Sept - 25th Oct 2016 from Prestwick.....£573 return, with luggage and extra legroom....that's about £130 more than I've ever paid before. It's frightening the way the prices have risen.

I've just looked and the cost for this coming April 2016 return booked in September 2015 cost £448 inc. luggage and extra legroom.i think our flights in may cost about £450? with luggage and seats from birmingham. just booked october 1st till 15th october 2016 £543 with luggage and seats from birmingham. so an extra £100

Aunt & Uncle stayed at Andreas Hotel and at £34 a night was excellent value.

just booked flights for first two weeks in may. more expensive than usual but we are a bit earlier this year and it covers the may day bank holiday. still only paid the same we paid on our first visit back in 1990 so cant complain. roll on may.

Jet2 are out now but very dear I thought, Easy Jet, Ryanair and Norwegian Air come out much later.....I just keep checking but think it's not before March time

My holiday countdown now shows its only 115 days until we shall be there on El Mirador, the downside is that both marbro8 & LindaD will be there at the same time and probably turn up at my door begging for a few coins for the electric meter.:nono:

Our first Tenerife holiday was for ten days, from there we moved on to two weeks, then a risky three weeks and are now at the four week stay,.......If marbro8 keeps sneaking about my apartment at night and leaving money, who knows how long I can afford to stay!!:crylaughing:

Decided to take a punt on Spring Vulcano in the XL Terrace Rooms on B&B only. Gets mixed reviews but hey, I've stayed at Med Palace and Cleo and they aren't anything special anyway.

I'm curious why do you ask. Only a friend of mine said the same thing yesterday evening. I booked direct off Monarchs website late afternoon yesterday.

Is it cheaper booking through a search engine provider, I thought it may cost a little more. I thought it was a very good price for this time of year.

Yes I'll look at Skycanner over the weekend and see for comparison. Incidentally we have just had to move our two week stay at Europe Villa Cortes with Monarch as well due to our daughter announcing she is expecting on or around September when we were due to fly out. So we rang Monarch and managed to change the booking at a cost of just £35 each and with us travelling October to the same place our holiday was reduced by £300. RESULT.

We had a Fortnight there a few Years ago. Really well placed for Us.

As with most Spanish Hotels the entry Hall is impressive. Rooms faced the pool and Safari Centre but noise is well away

We felt the rooms were small but smart enough.

Our only real moan was the time it took to book in, then out.

Staff away from Reception were usually pleasant enough too

The Bitacora on the other side of the road is a Sister Hotel, so = more choices.

I can recommend a really good reasonably priced hotel in Montrose "The Star" (I think you know where it is), unfortunately Carol won't manage to perform there this coming year (other pre-booked commitments), but her Sister Sue will definetly be making a guest appearance.:wave:
