I've just bought myself a dinky little sewing machine.
Have done one or two little sewing jobs on it and am really pleased with how easy it is to use.
Now I need to find a source for sewing patterns and bits and bobs such as new machine needles and thread.
Any ideas?
A market stall might be best but would have to be somewhere accessible by bus and in the south.

If you look for directions for El Kilo in Los Cris or El Valle they are great. Most towns have a Merceria which do the bits and pieces for sewing.
I dont think there is a market stall doing this kind of thing.

There is a little haberdashery shop in Alcala, a real old fashioned shop full to the ceiling with "bits and bobs" for sewing. Its down one of the side streets off the main road. There is also an El Kilo on the main street too. So you can get all you want in one trip, material and the "bits and bobs". Worth a visit.

If you can't find any patterns in Tenerife, there is an online site here (http://www.sewessential.co.uk/CategoryTree.asp?CategoryID=1235)

Thanks for all the replies.
Will start off with El Kilo.
