NEWS ALERT! As from today, 10th January, many tobacco products and cigarettes will go up in price as several companies follow regional government orders to pass on excise duty. Most affected will be lower end brands who have deliberately been targetted it seems, with a view to discouraging younger smokers in the future.

It will never work. The governments are so foolish. I'm a lifelong non-smoker but even I can see that these efforts are doomed to failure. Frankly, the government has no business getting involved in the lives of the citizenry in this way.

We are coming out there in 10 days; just so the other half can budget, how much is a pack of 200 Mayfair Superkings cigarettes please?

Seeing as someone has decided to bump this January report, may I say my cigarettes are €2 cheaper now.

Some of these reports are made just to put ink on paper.
