Renting a fishing rod in Tenerife

Hi, Is it possible to rent a fishing rod in Los Cristianos or Los Gigantes and how much does it cost?

Do you need some licence for fishing on the island or not?

Can you take the fish you catch with you or is this not allowed in Tenerife?

I think if you head down to the port in Los Cristianos there is a place that will rent rods. Never done it (got my own) and have no idea what it will cost. You do need a license, they can be bought in Santa Cruz and cost around 20€. If you are on holiday you may get away with it, if an inspector comes the old "I no speaky Spanish" bit will work, they won't fine you if you're back off to the uk next week.

Regard taking fish home (i assume you mean to your apartment to eat, not back to the uk) then yes you can, provided it's big enough. I'm not sure of regulation sizes but use common sense, if it looks big enough to eat then take it.
