English or state schools

Im moving to tenrefie with my 9 year old son Michael, and I'm interested in peoples views and experiences in schooling in tenerife.

My son speaks no Spanish and was wondering what would be the best route to go down English school or straight into a state school??

The choice isn't limited to English or State Schools, there are also some excelent Spanish independent schools.

Which one in your opinion would benefit my son best?? My main concerns are his age and that he doesn't speak any Spanish, if he was younger I would have no hesitations in sending him to a spanish school
