I'm sure the 6 Nations have merited a thread in years gone by and I've been waiting for someone to start one but to no avail.

OH and I are just waiting for some Irish friends to turn up to watch their match against Wales. When I looked at the schedule I noticed the final match is on St. Patrick's Day, England v Ireland at Twickenham.:eek: May be we will all have to watch from behind the sofa.

Scotland should have won easily only for some awful on pitch decisions in the second half. Ireland should have won ( fly half kicking for goal with 10 min left from his own half???) but didn't deserve to. Six teams that are uninspiring. Wales to win the championship.

I've been to all the National Stadiums over the years and without doubt my two favourite trips were Lansdowne Rd and Murrayfield. I also went to the last international game at Cardiff Arms Park. Great times but unfortunately two of my Rugby friends a Welshman and a Scot have passed on and my visits have diminished over the years. Just thought I haven't actually visited Italy so perhaps that could be a future trip[emoji3]

Who's playing who on ?Just google 6 Nations, you lazy so-and-so! I'm saying that 'cos I'm not quite sure. This weekend I think it's Scotland v Italy and Wales v France. More contentious for this thread and its readers may be Ireland v England on 1st March. We have 4 Irish friends coming to watch that. Since The Manxman doesn't claim to support England, this leaves me rather outnumbered. And they can get their own beer, I'm not missing important chunks of the match making sure everyone's got a drink in their hands!

I watched the game and have to say that Ireland fully deserved the win....as I predicted they dominated in the line out and were quicker on most aspects of the game particularly in challenging for high balls and then quick momentum thereby gaining significant playing advantage. I enjoyed it and even stayed for a post mortem beverage. A deserved victory!

We dinnae dae rugby no enough public schools in Scotland we have tae mak dae we second rate players fae other countries

It's strange because Scotland played far better in their first two games but seemed to drop off. Rugby a bit like golf is eradicating these class differences in sport and a good thing too.
