Does anyone else get fed up each year having to search comparison sites for car ins, household ins, broadband suppliers etc. Companies no longer give existing customers the best deal, probably due to customer apathy. Until a few years ago you were better off staying with the same supplier, but not any more,: and the most annoying thing is a company you left a couple of years ago, now offering you a better deal than anyone else as a new customer.:gun:

Par for the course Derek. All are trying to attract new customers. When the renewal is due if it has increased call and ask for discount and make it clear you will move if you don't get it. The secret IMHO is to move every year for the best deal. The cheapest isn't always the best with insurance though. The level of cover is important and knowing you will be paid out when you need it very important.

It's been like that for years. When we were living in the UK and had NTL cable tv, telephone and broadband we would get information about cheap deals for new customers yet when I would ring them and query it saying we have been with them for years what about us all they used to say was, it is for new customers only. Funny though as soon as you threaten to leave because you can get a better deal elsewhere they suddenly offer you the better deal.
