How long have you been driving?

Today the 26th of February in 1976 i past my driving test !!! hubby thinks its weird that i can remember the exact day but not only that, i can remember the exact time 3.50 pm. Its just a date that has stayed in my mind for 36 years, now i know people say that you shouldnt tempt fate but in all those years i have never had any accidents or bumps while driving my car.. I have fell off my motorbike a couple of times but that was my own fault and not an accident anyway. How long have you been driving without any mis-haps ?? Dare you say......or are you superstitious and wont say???? :wow:

over 20 years. only mishaps have not been my fault apart from one just after i started driving. :)

i passed my test on 4th august 1978. never had an accident.

9-00am 24th July 1962 and the Examiner was later sent to jail for taking bribes, never had an accident but after all this time still can't reverse properly.You would think dede with memories like ours we would be top of the quiz.:laugh:

Passed my test 2 weeks before my 18 th birthday Aug 1984!! Never been stopped, never had an accident and only one parking ticket!! First car was a maxi!!

2nd Sept 2010 at 11.30am in Santa Cruz, my first car was a C2 VTR,,,,,, lol as soon as i passed i got pulled in the first wk of driving (just a check) x

I started driving in the late 70s . My mother was a midwife in north Norfolk so i used to take the driving seat out in the sticks sometimes. Ok , I was just in my early teens at the time :D

The car was a tomato red mini - HNG 49N :)
In winter , a hot water bottle had to be placed across the engine spark plug leads to make it start.

I first started learning to drive in the 1950's but then was unable to keep up being taken out in a friend's car. So eventually started again a few years later had lessons and passed my test late 1963. Oh dear now begining to show my age :stupid:

I have been driving for 40 years without accident or points on my licence.......but put it down to luck rather than skill!!
There have been a few near things some my fault some not........

Forgot to mention that last year as I had to get a Spanish licence I went through the Spanish driving school course, took two months for written and road test and passed both 100% with no faults or errors.

It was good to refresh my knowledge and learn a few of the new road rules that have come into force.

No I haven't seen any accidents in the rear view mirror...sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by that :dontknow:

Passed mine first time 7 months after my 17th birthday......which was June 1984. Never had a crash that was my fault. A wheel came of a lorry once , bounced across the central reservation, and totalled the car I was driving but I got out without so much as a broken nail. Then had another written off in a rear end shunt, again, not my fault. Mum says I drive too fast, and I have got more speeding points and fines than I would prefer so she must be right, lol.

Been driving since 6th october 1988 ,Best thing ever for freedom ! driving in Tenerife i was so nervous ,I drove from Chayofa to Cabo Blanco with shakes !! Then i drove blind for Airport Transfer company down to Los Gigantes more blind :) ,When i came back to uk after 5 years in Tenerife i had to drive a First Bus on induction the wrong way round the roundabout .Still got the job 12 hours after landing !!
