This is something my husband and me have not done in Tenerife or in the UK but thought it might be fun to try. Has anybody tried to do any home brew or tried it commercially? We've been to the Tacoa Brewery at El Sauzal but he only brews German style beers (still very nice though :))

We have not seen any kits in Tenerife so thought we would either bring one from the UK or try Amazon for delivery of one.

I would be interested to know if you can get a kit delivered. Quite fancy a go at home brew myself!

Does anyone know if there is a shop, market in the south where I could buy: Malt, Hops, Yeast?

I'm looking for barley malt and wheat malt already milled or if there is a shop or farmers market where they sell whole grain.

From what I have found online making your own beer would be a little cheaper then buying in the shop, and of course enjoyment and pride of serving your own beer is priceless :)

Thanks

I did find this https://www.elcorteingles.es/brooklyn-brewshop/the-shop/ but not sure if they have it in stock in Santa Cruz. If anyone knows of any other suppliers please let me know.

Wilko does full kit.
Whilst I'm with you on this one, but I think usual palava for personal consumption applies...
If it is not treated as "moonshine" product and it may even be restricted or licensed.
Just dubious, that's all

Thanks, yes I have seen the full kits in Wilko. I doubt they deliver to Tenerife though! As far as I am aware it is quite legal to brew beer in Spain for 'personal consumption' only. I doubt Il Corte Ingles would be selling the ingredients for home beer brewing in a box clearly marked Home Brew mix if it wasn't legal here!

If anything its a matter if Amazon will deliver...sure it'll cost more, but its about better taste and craftmanship

I saw a kit including brewing bucket in our local agriculture centre some time ago, not sure if they still have it or it was a one off.

Haha I was thinking exactly the same.

It is more of a hobby though. I've got an apple tree in the UK and am thinking of making some cider
