CD Tenerife vs Real Madrid Castilla


Big game next Sunday in the Heliodoro. A six pointer if ever there was one and also remember the "head to head" rule used in Spain. If teams are drawn at the end of the season the league position is decided on how those teams faired against each other. We lost 3-1 in Madrid last October so difficult but obviously any win will do.

Let us see how the week pans out but the Tenerife team has been blitzed by suspensions and injuries. Goalkeeper Sergio is out as well as long term key man Kitoko. Loro and Kike Lopez are doubtful.

The match has been declared by the club as "media jornada" which means there is a slight rise in prices. Armada Sur will do their best to subsidise the extra costs for all members. Season ticket holders carry on as normal.

CALM DOWN & CARRY ON - our motto for the season. It is what this week is about. Forget about yesterday and lets look forward to what will be a great game. Vamos Venga!!!!

Iam arriving in Tenerife Friday afternoon and I am wondering if it is possible to get 1 ticket for the game on Sunday and to arrange coach travel. Iam staying in San Eugenio near to Bouganville Hotel

There is a big push for fans to attend the game online and on the radio

Today and yesterday Radio Club have had the players, Pablo Sicilia, Nino, Alejandro Alfaro and ex-coach Jose Luis Oltra pushing for support for the game.

Anything can happen today. If not a decisive game it certainly will go along way to seeing who are top dogs. It will be a tough game for Tenerife especially with all their injuries and suspensions. Razak makes his debut in goal and Lusimi Loro will undergo a late fitness test.

13.400 fans turned out today....Madrid even with the Ref on their side could not beat us.....missing a few key players but today was a great win and Tenerife earned the 3 points today they all battled very well.

What a great performance by the blanquiazules today! Despite going a goal down and having a terrible biased ref to contend with the spirit was there to see and I though we outplayed Madrid B for long periods.

The last few minutes were nervy to say the least but they dug deep and then we scored the clincher in injury time.The atmosphere was ace and I had flashbacks to the promotion season.

And all this without three key players; Kitoko, Loro and Sergio Aragoneses.

Brilliant stuff and with the attendance being 13.400 it makes it the 7th best attendance for the whole of Spain at any level (taking into account a few games left to be played and what they are likely to be)

Yes, great great win & fantastic atmosphere where we were sitting in Popular Alta (usually sitting in San Sebastian Alta for the 1-2 games a season we are over for, but couldn't get tix from the Paperia for that section this time).

I thought we dominated most of the game, RM Castilla were surprisingly bleak, dangerous on the counter though & especially Raul LLorente on our left was struggling with the fairly impressive RMC 7 Juanfran, the only one of their players to impress me. The ref was horribly biased, to a shocking degree actually, gave our players ridiculous yellows at times. I was actually afraid we would get a red at some point, but luckily didn't.

But what a great win especially considering the absent players, we are sitting second now with with both CD Lugo & Albacete drawing their games. What a turnaround under the new coach, just the one blemish losing to Montaneros the other week, great stuff.
