Yeah, a memorable night that was against Ath. Bilbao. First night game playing in La Liga against top team Bilbao and Alonso scores in 87th minute to win it for us. Three days later we went to Madrid to see Tenerife play Real Madrid (and we totally outplayed them in 1st half).
I was not suprised about Athletic´s performance last night in Manchester. The standard of the EPL is low this season in my opinion. More exciting perhaps but the quality has dropped.

Frustrating match this morning in the Heliodoro. Another great crowd turned up, 11.366 for the visit of La Roda. The visitors are no mugs, well positioned in 7th in the table and they defended deep. They were here for the draw it was clear to see.

I never thought I would say this but we missed Kiko Raton today. The giant defenders won most airiel challenges where it mattered against small Perona 6 Tacon later on. Center forward Aridane was brought on later (too late in my book) but apart from two or three efforts in the first half the defence of La Roda won the day. They hardly threathned and when they did Razak in goal was confident.

Albacete & Madrid both won so we slip to 3rd tonight. On the plus side Lugo drew and Oviedo were thrashed 3-0 at lowly Vecindario.

All in all two points dropped but it was just one of those days. The effort was second to none and the atmosphere was good.

We seem to really struggle with defensive teams. I am with you about Kiko, the joy of having him on the field is he attracts defenders which leave the other forwards more flexibility
Aridana was robbed of a clear penalty and then towards the end there was a hand ball. But the refs are all bad.
Hopefully we will win next week. There are quite a few going so there should be a good atmosphere for the team.

Good match Tenerife battled hard but just short of that bit of luck needed when at home....have to say some of you seen me with my 3yr daughter today and for a 5 hour excursion today she never moaned once and have to say it made my day when she was jumping,dancing and clapping her hands all the way through the game.
Looks like another Amarda Sur fan Chris lol
