Transport or shipping from the UK

We are planning to move over in September and take our time driving through France and Spain so would possibly ship around the beginning of September. Hard to say at the moment but think we may have around 100 cubic feet (500k) of stuff. When are you wanting to ship? Have you researched if it is cheaper to send larger loads?
