According to the data of the ministry of home affairs there are 3,417,064 empty houses at this moment .
That high number is 13.2% of the number of total houses in Spain what runs up to 25,837,108.
According to the ministry and the LDC (Gestión the Fincas) these numbers are alarming high and a lot of of these houses need to be rapidly sold or letted to be able to carry the high costs.

There was already confessed that in Spain has something more than 1 million neuwbuilds that are empty of which the most in sale.

There was however never spoken of total number of empty houses, this means including second-hand the houses.
This number runs therefore almost against 3.5 the million thus the last figures of the ministry of home affairs.

According to the data of the ministry of home affairs there are 3,417,064 empty houses at this moment . .

So, if this information is gathered by or on behalf of the government, why don't they address the problem?

We all know that a lot of people these days won't buy property. This may be due to lack of funds or lack of confidence - or whatever.

A change in the way taxes are charged (in general) is long overdue.

For example, if I were to sell my house and buy the identical house next door for the same money, the taxes and legal expenses would be ITRO 40.000€

Madness!
