Wound dressings - at farmacia - over-the-counter, or prescription?

I find myself with an old leg injury starting to bleed etc, just days before we're heading for Tenerife!

I will see the nurse at our surgery soon and, hopefully, get the right dressings to bring, but can anyone tell me is it easy to get things like surgical tape and specialist type plasters over-the-counter from a farmacia, or do you need a prescription?

Any advice is welcome.

Hi you can buy dressings over here but they are very expensive, surgical tape is only cheap but my advise is try and bring what you need with you as the spanish use different types of dressings anyway than the uk.
