Can you tell us anymore about the photo Arona? it looks old as I don't think they have those blue and white beach umbrellas any more on that part of the beach!:dontknow:

Would be interesting to know when it was taken...it looks as though a Palm tree is on fire?

spoke to a guy a little while ago who also had some photos of the fire and told me a 'number' of restaurants awnings/blinds also caught fire.

Palm trees on fire next to the old house the tramps live in

A lot of the awnings where fire damaged, the flames reached as high as the building behind.

I ran towards Americas at 1245, nothing doing. Passing it again at 13.45, fire engine was there putting out flames on tree. Some of the palm fronds had drifted off when alight, burning canopies of bars there. Also, when the flames were put out, the wind lifted filthy burnt embers and dumped them on the canopies too, a right mess.

i could see this fire from my apartment and all black stuff was blowing over my terrace from it i went down for a nosy nd it was just a palm tree from my apartment it looked like a whole apartmnt blok was on fire it was massive
