Activities for retired people living in San Eugenio, Tenerife

Hi everyone!
My parents stay on the island for about 4-6 months each year in winter times. They have mentioned its quiet around Christmas and New Year. Are there any clubs,social activites, meet ups etc that anyone could recommend for a couple in their late sixites??

Live Arico Dog Rescue have a charity shop in Los Cristianos, most of the volunteers are swallows. They also meet up socially for the odd glass of sherry x
