Congratulations Tracy, have a wonderful day.... :)

you've now got me thinking now, I need to find out what paperwork I need, me and OH have decided to finally tie the knot (after a 20 year engagement), but luckily we're waiting another two years so my besties and family can save up to come over and witness the happy event LOL - we did have a marriage licence 20 years ago, but I doubt that's valid any more, mind you, he's from here so prolly easier to organise..... are you getting married in Arona?

Tracey, that's wonderful news! Many congratulations to you both and have a fabulous day and years ahead.
Do post those photos.
I've always thought that Tenerife has the service, weather and backdrops for it to be a fantastic wedding island. What a pity the red tape slows it down. It could bring a lot of revenue to the island if made simpler.

no we are getting married in puerto de la cruz, should be no problem for you, most of it is done through the british conulate in santa cruz, very helpful but expensive, also the girls at the registrar have been great here, very patiant, i think the paperwork can vairy depending where you are getting married.

i think when I first applied all i needed was to swear I had no impediments against me (so I ended up paying off the pole tax debt I owed grrrrr hahaha guilty concience) and got my birth certificate translated... I just know that's prolly all changed now...... i'm probably going to tie the knot in the Arona town hall :-) .... have a fantastic time, looking forward to seeing a piccie!! :) I love weddings... unfortunately mine is probably going to be a right snivelling mess cause our lot are a right bunch of softies LOL plus none of them thought we'd get to the aisle ever - my son is going to be his dads best man :spin:
