When you can no longer find the hook!

When you try to open the car with the house keys. When you carry on round and round the roundabouts and then give up. When you put the car into reverse when you leave the garage.....all these things my dear father in law did. But still the doc said 'If I take the car keys away from him he'll just give up on life'......
