The 'how many items have you lost or bust on holiday' thread

In my many years of coming to Tenerife , walking boots and trainers are the usual things that don't last the course . Also , contact lenses are things that have gone missing too - often after swimming ;)

After my last 12 days in Tenerife , my tally of bust things include :

iPod nano 5g - didn't survive being water logged by a wave ( later inspection shows that the battery has failed )

Panasonic FT2 waterproof camera. Came 'un waterproof' underwater !

All rounder walking / going out shoes . Sole expired on the last day.

My carry on / beach bag fell apart towards the final days .

Radio scanner aerial fell apart rendering the radio unless .

Oh , and then I bust my beautiful face when a wave squashed me into the sand .

Plus I nearly broke my shoulder .....

I personally haven't lost anything, but twice the airlines have "Lost" my luggage only for it to appear after 4 days. Bummer...

lost my iphone charger once.

Browsing the little fashion jewellery shops I have on several occasions bought a pair of colourful earings,
the assistant putting them in a nice little paper bag, I put them in my bag and they are never
seen again!
