How much does it cost to live in Tenerife?

Can any one tell me the rough costs for electricity, water, community charges etc for a couple living in Tenerife? We are trying to budget for a 6 month stay.

How many are "we" and what are you looking for out of life?

depends how big your house is, how many peopel are staying in it and if you have gas boiler or hob.

Sorry, should have said. Two of us and we are looking at 2 bed apartments on the South coast area.

More expensive in the resorts than a couple of miles outside, community charges - do you want a swimming pool, gardens etc, all add to the costs.

Community charges can be anything from 20 euros a month to €200 sometimes this includes electricity and water sometimes it doesn't


The community fee is normally included within the rent so the owner pays


electricity cost will be based on how much YOU USE

A lot of peoples bill are between €45 - €100 per month it all depends how much YOU use.
