As predicted, Tenerife have just sacked García Tébar after 3 months in charge. This club is losing all respectability fast. Message now is 'better to have a manager from the island, who understands the dressing room'. Sounds familiar. they said the same when bringing in Amaral last year late on and got rid of him weeks later. New boss is the reserve team coach, Medina.

This time I am going to back the clubs decision. We do not know what is going on behind the scenes with the players/managment relations. The club have talked to the captains and made the decision. The poor performances recently were mainly down to the players "making the bed" for Tebár as they did not like him. What do we do wait another 3 weeks, slip out of the top four and then it is too late?

A fresh start(again), we are third and play CD Lugo this Sunday at home and we could go 2nd in the league with four matches to go. We still have a good chance at promotion(are the other teams that great either? Look at the results yesterday).

As for the respectability of the club....the club have been a TOTAL disaster for years now under Concepcion. He is holding a press conference at 1.30pm today. Let us see what for.
The only thing that keeps us going is the fantastic supporters, the great times we have seen and the fact that crappy little clubs like Levante can build a decent squad and do well in the Primera in a short space of time. Look at Rayo Vallecano. Just four years ago I saw them play in San Isidro in the 2nd B and now they are doing well in La Liga(just 2 points off Euro places!)

Good Luck to Medina, his luck is our luck.

Concepción needs a good kick up the proverbial. Holding a press conference to coincide exactly with that being held by the Canarias basketball team, which won promotion to the top flight yesterday and play the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid next season, is not a way to endear himself to the media, whose support he now needs more than ever. This guy has no class whatsoever. On the players conspiring to get rid of Tébar, who signed them in the first place? Cordero. All that nonsense later about needing a strong disciplinarian instead of Calderón and Tébar fitting the bill 100%. But as soon as he lays down the law, they mutiny. What a way to run a club. Spend, spend and if it doesn't work, spend again. How much has Concepción paid out in compensation to sacked managers, I wonder?
