Same for me aisle and near the front, but my husband always wants a window seat so I usually end up in the middle....my worst nightmare.

An aisle seat near the back for me.........nowhere near the wing.........ruins my flight if I have to sit on wing lol.

My ideal is extra leg room seats but sometimes they are not available for whatever reason. In these cases as long as I am forward of the wings I am happy. Although not too far forward as there never seems to be any room in the overhead lockers as they always seem to be full of clutter from the crew.
My wife prefers a window seat. On many flights where sets of three seats are offered I have had terrible experiences particularly with obese people who think that they have the right to half your seat as well as there own. Oh and don't forget the great unwashed. Two hours on a flight to the mainland sitting next to the smell of an open sewer was a bit off putting!

Best seat : a window seat a few rows up front the front . Worst seat : Aisle seat near the back - in bad weather you can see the plane flexing looking towards the front .

On Ryanair flights when I'm travelling alone, I prefer the aisle seat on the right hand side of the plane in row 31 or 32... It has it's own little single case locker and I can get up and down as often as I like to put stuff in or take stuff out. Plus it means I can leave stuff loose in there. And of course, there are 2 toilets at the rear of the plane for those frequent visits!

As far forward as possible - even row 1 - less legroom but no-one to put their seat down in your face at the first opportunity. Aisle seat on the left hand side - so my right hand/arm have more room to turn over pages of books/newspaper and raise my G&T to my lips.

I am keen on an aisle seat but where in the plane depends on where we are landing and if we will hub or get off both ends

Always travel with Thomson and pay for pre-booked seats. Seats A & B as far back as possible on the way out and seats E & F as far back as possible on the way home. By doing that we can see the coast if it's clear of cloud all the way down to Portugal and then the islands as we come towards Tenerife.

There used to be a forum member called Annalfredo (I think) and when she wrote a post on the old Forum about what she was like on a plane I seem to remember thinking, please, never, EVER, let me be on a plane with her, never mind next to her! Apologies for writing about someone who may be won't see this but ..... I think she was one of those who jumps up, rushes up and down the aisle, sits down, jumps back up, goes to the loo, sits down, jumps back up to get something out of their hand luggage, sits down, jumps up, gets out something else, jumps up, goes to the loo ... oh please save me from people like this. Just sit quietly next to me, please, and read your kindle.

Apologies if I have breached an unspoken rule, Warbey. Never met her but I do remember an exchange of posts on a thread about flying and we both agreed we hate to fly next to each other! Sad some of the members who have faded away ... or gone elsewhere, probably.

Just a likeable Person to Us both after three quarters of an hour at the Forum

Meet up day. I miss Her and some laughs at Her Posts too.

The best seat is without a doubt at the front on the left, next to the Co-Pilot.
