Have you visited this restaurant. How was it?

How was the service, what was the food like?

Write a review to give others an idea of where to go on their jollies

ONly been for the lunchtime special, which at 3,95euro for 2 courses and a coffee, well it would have to be unedible to knock it at that price!!!

Massive bowl of soup for everyone for startes then at leat 10 dishes to choose from for main, food like pork chops, fish, pizza, pasta etc, followed by a coffee.

Yes, for the price, certainly couldn't complain at the food or the service:D

Yes, we're regulars in the afternoon for the 3.95 special, at that price we'd be silly not to be, they've now started doing an ice cream for dessert instead of the coffee, they also do a good value 3 course menu on a sat and sunday evening. 9.95 and the lamb is to die for.

How do you get there from the motorway exit please, is it easy to find?

Travel along motorway from airport towards Los Christianos, turn off at
Parque De La Reina ( I think it's the first turn off after Golf Del Sur). Turn
left travel & drive under motorway to a roundabout ( approx 200 yards ).
At the roundabout go straight over & in approx. 50 yards , turn right into the residential area. It is then on your right 20 yards along the street

Thanks Clicker, but we went last Tuesday & managed to find it ok, it's very easy to find in fact, exactly where you said. We had a good lunch & will definitely go again. We had a tureen-full of soup (which was spinach & very nice), we had 2 servings each & there was still enough left for the 4 of us to have another portion but we wanted to save ourselves for the rest of the meal. Choice of about 15 main courses, we all had different & they were all good. We then got apple cake for dessert, very nice too. Huge glasses of wine priced at 2.50€, large beer 1.80€, good value. Thinking we'll go for the 9.95 special one evening, just to try the lamb as recommended by Tinkabel.

It is possible, yes. But it would take a while.

It's about 4 miles from the top end of Los Cristianos..

Visited today, been advertising 3 course specials. We had soup, which comes in a serving dish with ladel, 2 servings each still left more. It was veg, and really good. Mains, you can choose from the 3.95/4.95/5.95 menus which is the 3 course price, lot of choice. I had pork chops, from the 4.95 menu , 2 decent chops, chips and stir fry veg. Great, the chops had been cooked with black pepper on the base. Imelda got chicken enchilladas, from the 5.95, 3 enchiladas, chicken inside was plentiful, cheeesy, chili a bit tomato-ish but good value. You get an individual vanilla ice cream, in its own plastic container, excellent. Herself also had a bottle of Dorada, 1.40, my agua con gas was 1.50. (i know!!) Service was efficient, not over friendly but it was busy at 4.45 on a Friday.

BEST BIT (value aside). What a really cracking place, looks really authentic, rustic brick and paint, rifles, , bric a brac, fountain and just very different for here. So, for that alone we are going back when family come over and will do the proper menu, it looked reasonable and plenty to choose from.

PS clientelle was mixed Uk locals, and Spanish locals.

We went for the 3 course specials and found them very good value but when we later went back for an evening meal we were very disappointed, to say the least.

Menu del dia is only for lunchtimes, this is the same everywhere. The evening menu is obviously more expensive but the food is good.

My daughter took us for lunch today. Well impressed at the quality and value for money.

We all had soup, I had a sirloin, Carol a breaded veal steak and Charlotte a Lasagne.

We all had ice cream.

3 pints of lager, a coke, 2 waters, half a bottle of San Val and a Johnnie Walker. 38 euros.

Hi poker Lupita is still open, they do the 3.95, 4.95 and 5.95 menu in the daytime and the 4.95 and 5.95 in the evening. A choice of about 16 main courses with soup to start and icecream or coffee for dessert. Their pizza from the pizza oven in the restaurant is included in the cheap menu and can thoroughly recommend it. Pedro is still manager there and is very helpful. Hope that helps ... enjoy

Come off Tf-1 at Parque de la Reina & head towards the sea. Down to the first roundabout, straight across, then take the next turning on the right. Lupita's a few yards down on the right hand side ...

:cheeky:Yes Grandmas Kitchen, otherwise known as El Candil de la Abuela, run by Pepe (and Maria in the kitchen), very friendly couple, Pepe not the quickest waiter but hey ... wheres the rush ... and they give free tapas when you are just having a drink in there

Again I agree with your comments....be prepared to wait awhile and enjoy the free super tapas....BUT when ordering rememebr your 'free' starter can be quite filling too! will be going again very soon
