A new crest trademarked by Everton has set Blues atwitter that the Club's iconic Latin trademark and elegant laurel wreaths will be dropped in favour of a simplified badge.
Everton filed a trademark with the Intellectual Property Office in the United Kingdom (case UK00002656323) for the crest but it is not clear whether this new design would replace the current crest or would, more likely, be used for some other commercial or merchandising purpose.

The new design, pictured right, features several differences: A bolder blue color, the removal of the club's motto (in Latin) and a simpler but more distinctive design.

There have been rumours in recent weeks that the Club plan in ditching the Nil Satis Nisi Optimum motto from the crest.

Odds have been slashed in the last few hours from 50/1 into 16/1 for the next Everton manager to be Jurgen Klinnsman,in fact in the last few minutes he has come into 7/2 on Skybet, Martinez is still 3/1 fav from 6/4 earlier! It may be speculation as he met Bill Kenwright earlier today!

You can state statistics all you like im telling you NCFC will finish above Everton and more worrying most of the blues just didn't seem to want to be there or maybe that's just me, we will see before the end of the month who leaves.

I have never seen such quiet EFC supporters in all my time

True....can't recall if I told you this but my Dad was an Everton supporter and even though he has now passed on my old Mum still puts the Everton game on for him to watch......... What a supporter!

Well....Dad was an Everton Supporter and my two brothers supported Man United, I was taken to a Villa game by my Dad and was enrolled in the Supporters Club by a friend of his. I remember I had a bobble hat, a scarf and a rattle. I suppose I was about 7 or 8yrs old and I went to every home game for years on the coach from Nuneaton. I recall almost everyone smoked on the coach but it never bothered me.

I rate him too, as Warbey says 2nd season syndrome.
The thing for me is how come so many that played so well last season are now not a patch on what they were.
In fact not so many ..but the whole team ...
It used to be Goalkeeper,Centre Half and Centre Forward as the back bone of any team... our displays lately have been ...Spine-less.
Don,t like singling any one player out in a Team game..
But i have to say Tim Howard is not at all up to it ,wont command his area ,in fact won,t even command the six yard box cost us a good few points. As for centre back(s) and centre forward..Lukaku is getting no service at all, while our centre backs are playing tippy tappy between each other then giving the ball to Tim Howard ...

Man City on saturday we must get something from that game,but hopefully Martinez is now listening to the players who want us to be a bit more decisive at times,all this slow slow build up is getting us nowhere at the min,Everton are a much more dangerous team when we get it out wide and give Lukaku some much needed service, that he hasn't been getting.

Hopefully he can turn this around.

Spot on Col, the service to Lukaku this season has been appalling, seems to me that we are not playing as a team from the defence to the attack . no midfield provider(s) ....should not be left to a young Ross Barkley on his own ..its a team game and so far mostly this season we haven,t been a TEAM.
Maybe ...from what has been said before and more so now after the West Ham game the manager and players can pull us out of this awful spell we are having ..COYB ..

Was pleased with the point yesterday Martin but not with the performance,overall it was a pretty bog average game where both teams completely cancelled each other out,we now go to Chelsea on Wednesday with 2 clean sheets on the spin,it would be nice to see us really have a go there and try get something out of the game rather than sitting back inviting them on,if that happens we will get mullered.But hopefully we go there and have a right good go.

Great performance from the blues tonight,that is much more like it,we could have grabbed 6/7 or 8 goals in that game,hopefully the 2nd leg we can now rest a lot of the squad and push on in the league,can see us smashing Leicester this weekend,the confidence is definitely returning to the squad and finally Rom is getting the service he needs,give him the ball in space and he will score week in week out.

A good performance and as I have said previously I believe that Everton have begun their return to form and should now hopefully consolidate to improve the league position.....I'm not an Everton supporter but my Dad was so I hope he is pleased as well! My Mum still puts the Everton games on the telly even though he passed away a few years ago now.

Well for the first 25,30 minutes we were abysmal...Then the crowd got at the players to buck their ideas up and the next 60 minutes was what we know Everton are capable of.

As good as David Moyes was for Everton over the 11 years he was there he had taken us as far as he could.
We had reached a point in his last couple of seasons that all and sundry knew only a big influx of money would make any more improvement.
As for Moyes taking the Man U. job don,t think anyone could blame him and we all know what happened there.

Finally upto the heady heights of 13th (OMG that does sound bad) but thankfully the dreaded thought of relegation can now go away,we have 8 games left of the season and a lot of those games are winnable,we should be aiming for 10th and get this season over and done with.

From all accounts Senor Roberto has had a wake-up call, also a few of the Players.

With a few in their 30's I hope He has a Plan.. Next Season will be interesting I believe.

Certainly will warbey,it'll be an interesting mid season for Roberto that is for sure,he either wakes up and smells the coffee and ditches this pass pass pass garbage and gets us back to being exciting to watch,or i think his time will be up,some of the stuff i have watched this season has bored me endless with the blues and it has to stop.

Thankfully we are out of the relegation battle (a few games ago) but that is no reason the players should be thinking sandals and beachwear is the norm for the last 2 games we have not turned up at ..Or the next 2 games....we have left.
Off topic in a way but how the onus has changed in the last 3 weeks or so is footballs unpredictability at its best....
What price Newcastle seeing they are in freefall to hold on in there ..????

Absolute anticlimax to think what has happened this season after coming the highest we have been in the Prem ,along with the highest number of points, finishing the last couple of games short of what we as supporters have wanted for yonks ...
To be totally crap all this season that most of us can,t wait for the season to end.
I for one am not holding my breath on us doing much better next season .
I,m not for one saying sack the manager ,what is needed and has done for many years now is the Board,Shareholders to pull their fingers out and believe that Everton can be a successful club ...but we need the backing..their backing and any Billionaire out there that is willing to throw their wealth at putting Everton Football Club into the forefront of the so called Sky Top 4,5,6... which seems to change each season as they want.............
