Story about Tenerife rape in this summer's edition of That's Life magazine.

Did anyone else see the story in thats life where you get paid for your true stories. A woman said 3 years ago she was on the island and came out of a nightclub alone having lost her friends and two policeman offered her a lift back to her hotel but instead took her up the mountain where they verbally abused her and raped her on the bonnet.

She was then dropped off somewhere and she said she didnt report the rape.Well she said she rang the station but nobody came so she left it and went back to England.

dont the magazine check things out before they pay people. Can you just be allowed to make things up about a country!

Just to be clear, let there be no doubt that rape is a terrible thing. Rape is such an utterly awful and traumatic crime and often leaves its victims scarred for life and needing counselling for after effects such as nightmares, anxiety attacks and so on.

So, would a genuine victim of such a crime write their story for publication in a pretty tacky magazine whilst admitting she never actually reported it?

Sorry, I don't think so, and as to the magazine checking up on the true story - erm how? It wasn't reported

why print it then if it cant be proved?Stories should have to be proved.That could be very damaging to Tenerife and their police.
