I'm essentially interested in the "Golf Triangle", see attached (low resolution). I think Google Maps may be a bit old, would you agree?

If this is correct, has anyone got local maps of these areas, perhaps ones that they could scan or photograph? I'm sure others would be interested, so I'd be happy to tidy up and tile the scans (with PhotoShop) into a file for upload to the forum. In fact I'd be happy to do this for any areas. Here are some tips:

When scanning an image larger than the scanner bed:

Make sure to overlap the images by at least 50% in each direction on each pass.
Set the resolution to at least 600dpi.
Set the exposure manually, and keep it fixed

Similarly, if photographing a document larger than about A5 (depending on the resolution of the camera):

Overlap the images in a similar way to the above
Keep the camera perpendicular to the document
Keep the document flat by taping it to a wall or board
Use strong natural light if the flash causes hot-spots
Set the exposure manually, and keep it fixed
Set the zoom somewhere between mid-range and fully zoomed-in
Use a tripod, or similar

I have a revised plan. I'm building a high resolution map of the area based on Google Maps (see here (http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j54/nigelmercier/Misc/Golf-Triangle-A4-LR.png) for a peek at part of it), but with corrections and additions as they turn up. Please feel free to let me know of any landmarks, bars, restaurants, etc that would be useful to others.

Oh, and laundries (http://www.tenerifeforum.org/tenerife-forum/showthread.php?16970-Is-there-a-Laundry-near-Marina-San-Miguel-Tenerife) :D
