I thought it would be useful if we were to compile a list of Free Wi-Fi Hot Spots in Tenerife, is anyone interested in helping out? Just reply to this thread with details, I suggest the following:

Blank Template

Location:
Link to map: [click here]
Name of establishment:
SSID (the name of the network):
Password:

Note: to add a link to a map, find the location in Google Maps (https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Tenerife,+Spain&hl=en&ll=28.250562,-16.574249&spn=0.452432,0.616608&sll=28.024523,-16.609054&sspn=0.028337,0.038538&hnear=Tenerife&t=m&z=11) in a new tab, then drag the yellow "Street View" man so the blue circle underneath is over the location, you can adjust zoom and angle. Then click the icon that looks like a chain in the left panel, copy the link in the top box. Then, back on the forum, select the text "click here" in your copy of the template, and click the Link icon (blue/green globe with a chain link) and paste in the link. My suggestions follow, both on or near Marina San Miguel.

Location: Golf del Sur, Avenida del Atlántico
Link to map: [click here (https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Tenerife,+Spain&hl=en&ll=28.024485,-16.608946&spn=0.006327,0.019269&sll=28.024523,-16.609054&sspn=0.028337,0.038538&hnear=Tenerife&t=m&z=16&layer=c&cbll=28.024491,-16.608949&panoid=4cbgSUR_Iv0U_pe9odkkww&cbp=11,337.15,,1,1.79)]

Funny thing is Nigel, this topic has be covered many times :)

A Tenerife forum search will bring up many 'Free Wifi' threads , i.e. http://www.tenerifeforum.org/tenerife-forum/showthread.php?7661-Find-free-Wi-Fi-in-Tenerife&highlight=free+wifi

I know, which is why it would be better in a single thread! The sites that claim to tell you about hot spots are not as good as personal suggestions.
