Can't wait. The last one I saw was in Silencio in the mid 90s and it was spectacular.

Never saw such colours before.

I saw it in the Uk a few years ago. The moon turned a beautiful orange-red. The weather forecast is for rain tomorrow in the UK. May be a big disappointment so we'll rely on Forum members to post lovely pictures please!:help::hail:

That was only a partial eclipse. A full one is much more spectacular

The last total lunar eclipse was 21 Dec 2010 and after tomorrow the next one is supposed to happen on 10 Dec 2011

the moon will already be in eclipse as it rises here in Tenerife...i think a great point to view it from would be La Caleta looking towards (east southeast)...Roque del Conde as it rises from behind Conde...

Me too, same sight as yours so I didn't bother taking a pici..Sooooooooo disappointing..Ah well. Trouble is I have to live to be 100 for the next one.

So sad. No eclipse, no World Cup, no democracy, nothing to look forward to. Might as well pop off now..

Saw it through binoculars at about 10.15p.m.. It had just started coming out of the Shadow, couldn't see nothing before because there was cloud. It wasn't very red either :(

Total Lunar eclipses are quite common, it's only that this one was darker and lasted longer than usual.
But from a viewing standpoint, without scientific instruments to measure the amount of light, you can enjoy another one already 10 December this year.

See post number 15 ;)

Sorry, didn't read all posts properly. ;)
But actually, reading the calendar again, I'm not sure it will be total here... it's listed for Europe and East Africa, which wouldn't cover Tenerife... In that case, the next total eclipse isn't until 28 September, 2015.
