What does it mean when I go into "Tools">"options"> Privacy tab, I get the option to tick a box that says "Tell websites I do not wish to be tracked"?

The cookies tell them what you are watching, reading, downloading then they can target you with similiar based adverts when you go onto sites.

esponsible sites are told You dont want tracking I/E where You go and what You do

Other Sites do it anyway and You can set the system to block these out.

Choice is there for You Cam.

This is partly tied in with Euro Laws re Cookies.

Thanks for the replies guys. If that's all it is, I'm not too bothered either way. (I've set it to "off" now anyway).:respect:

I notice more and more quality UK sites mentioning cookies and the effect of your turning thses cookies off! I just let them go since I would rather have the site I,m talking about.
