I normally can go in and make an appointment on line with our Social Doctor, tried to do this yesterday and again today, comes up with an error. Is anyone else having problems with this? Thanks

Just tried it and although the page looks different, it connected HERE (http://www3.gobiernodecanarias.org/sanidad/scs/gc/18/Cita_Previa/index.html)

Yes, they updated the page. I made an appointment last weekend and went to the docs on monday to get a prescription, so it was working for me.

This is part of the update to pharmacy systems which now have access to a patient's income levels in order to know how much co-payment they have to pay for medication http://newsinthesun.com/
Changes to Spanish healthcare system means British pensioners contribute to prescription charges

When I collected some of the medicines and drugs I require I asked the Farmacia how much I have to pay for my stuff. Anyway, according to them, since I am a Pensionista, due to ill health, I have to pay the costs (normally 10%) for 6 months and then adjust all the figures I am due to pay after keeping all the receipts and going to Granadilla! Seems to me that for a pensionista, and in some cases therefor having difficulties in moving around, this is gonna cause real issues witholder people in particular. I intend asking every time I go to the Farmacia how much I have to pay.

If it's not working, just call 112 to make an appointment. :)
