Hi All,

I am a Newbie to the Forum and Tenerife(well, living here!!)

My Hubby Lars and i, are moving to the island in the next few months as my in laws have decided to retire here after spending many years holidaying on the island. We have decided that we would follow , we have lived all over the world and since having our son Noah, we need a base and that whilst he will still be globetrotting i will live here and raise the kids(i am expecting again , yipee)

I am looking for a good nursey school in the south, can anyone recommend ?

Its mainly to get Noah socialised, he's 3.
Are there any mums groups? just to get me socialised too, lol! We are aiming to be out for August.

Thanksxx

there is a mum and toddler group on a tuesday at 10am for 2 hours at coral mar, silencio, lovely mums.
There is also a facebook group called loopyloons.com , fantastic set of mums on there, ive met a few mums on there because of the group, good luck with your move x

Whereabouts in the south? If you give us a clue then we can suggest places more specific, as there are many nurseries and I doubt you'll be wanting to drive a long way from your home to the nursery...

You'll find that cheaper nurseries will be in the smaller villages. For example, the one in my village charges 300€/month and this includes all food and they can go any time between 6am and 7pm every day except Sunday. If you have 2 kids, it's 170€ for the 2nd. It's been a few years since I've used them, so the prices may have risen a bit, but you get the general idea. In Las Americas it can sometimes be around 400€ a month and you have to pay extra for food or the opening hours are shorter.

I live on the west coast though, so not in the south. Places like Valle San Lorenzo or El Medano may be comparable in price to here though. It all depends where you want to live :)

For a nursery school, Tricyclo at La Camella has a good reputation .... 922 720 828
