I wish to transfer a property title in Tenerife from myself to my son.

I would be grateful if anyone could advise if this is a simple process.

I am aware solicitors fees will be payable for the conveyencing, contract, etc.

Could anyone advise on any other fees, taxes etc that may
have to be paid.

No money will be paid in respect of purchase

Many Thanks

Barryk

This will be treated as a normal sale and therefore taxes will apply as well as notary , land registry and other incidental expenses. If you are I fact gifting this to your son then sound legal advice will be necessary but agin it will involve taxes etc .

Some friends of ours transferred a property from one partner to the other for €1 but it cost them €13,000 so I would definitely look into all the items casabonny mentions before you do it.

We're talking about a nice but not luxurious 2 bedroom house.

Maybe something to look into is giving him power of attorney

And making sure your Spanish will reflects your wishes.
