Urban legend has it that many Canarian words have their roots in English.

For Example:

Guagua - one wagon.
Queque - Cake.
Guachinchie - I'm watchin ya!

Anyone know anymore?

As far as i know queque and panqueque are both south american coming directly from the us and just being spelled in a Spanish fashion
