Hi

My friends lives on a complex where Unelco have just removed the meter and power for the lifts! ???

They went to see the admin for the complex, bills are all paid, it appears that there is no boltin paperwork.

My friends are elderly and have to climb four flights of stairs, do any members know if this is going to take long to sort out?

Is there any action they can take against admin, or Unelco even.

Any advice would be great, that I can pass on to them.

The Boletin is only the end of a long process so it's impossible to answer your question as there are too many variables. IF all the steps leading up to the issue of the Boletin have been carried out correctly then it should be simple, however if not there may be problems which could range from a snagging list and paper chase to a complete strip out and re-install to the correct standards.

Admin should have had some communication with UNELCO prior to the meters being removed and (in theorey) should be aware of the problem and what needs to be done.

Thanks.

Have spoken to them, the President of the complex is avoiding answering any questions about the issue. !

Passed your info on, would raising a denuncia against admin get any joy?

Obviously somewhere along the line someone hasn't done their job properly or people wouldn't be avoiding the issue. Certainly your friends are not the only people affected by the removal of the lifts from service so maybe it would be a good idea to canvass the neighbours to see if there is enough support to call an EGM and force those people responsible to answer questions officially.

Well is looks like it will be going on and on ..

It appears according to admin and the president that the supplier did not inform that the disconnection was going to happen, this he has been told is illegal!

Admin went to Santa Cruz to have a meeting with the supplier, who told them the incoming supply is not up to standard, no one has been told much else about the outcome of that meeting.

He has been down to see the admin, who has gone on holiday for 2 weeks, so nothing will be done now.

Admin has called an EGM, for 30th August really urgent !!!

Another owner on the complex is coming over shortly with their elderly parents, who need a lift to access the apartment, other owners having to climb 3 or 4 floors some with kids and weekly shopping.

The admin and president are not active in getting any info to any of the other owners either, he is trying to see if it is possible to get a vote of no confidence in the admin and president, not sure what that will achieve.

Anyone know where I can point him to get things sorted out a bit quicker?!
