View Full Version : Has anyone lost a yellow canary in south Tenerife?
Has anyone lost a yellow canary in El Medano, it flew into my friends house and he rescued it from his cat. It also has some white patches near the tail and speckles of brown.
Aww poor little thing! if the owner does not come forward there is a sanctuary for small animals in the South, I'm sorry but that's all I know but I'm sure someone on here will come forward with the information about it! Good luck!
I think the small animal sanctuary you mean is called Tiny Feet. Their web site is http://www.tinyfeetanimalfostercare.com/ and their facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/groups/392676274123091/ Its run by a lovely lady called Elaine Jodie Byers. Hope that helps.

You learn something everyday.
Thanks for all you info, I think I'll just advertise it on the forum as free to a good home, ( I'll wait a few days in case someone comes forward) but my guess is its someone Spanish, as they love canaries. Its still really young I think as some of its feathers are a bit downy. I'm sure there are lots of people with averies that would be happy for one more.
Are you still looking for a home for the bird? There is a new facebook page called paws4thought for lost/found/adoptions. I can advertise it on there for you if you like.
